With the UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U5226KW, Dell is expanding its range of Thunderbolt hub monitors with the largest variant yet. The new 51.5" model is an ultrawide monitor that is highly interesting not only for (semi-)professional users in post-production and combines a high resolution of 6K with a wide range of current interfaces and very good color gamut coverage. ![]() Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U5226KW Color gamut coverage is excellent at 100% sRGB, 100% Rec.709, and 99% DCI-P3. Brightness is 400 nits, and the native contrast ratio is 2000:1 - Dell does not provide information on HDR formats or VESA DisplayHDR certification, so it is assumed (and because some other models in the series explicitly exclude HDR display) that HDR is not supported. The refresh rate of the UltraSharp 52 is up to 120 Hz - variable refresh rate (VRR) playback is supported via HDMI 2.1. For color management and workflow, Dell offers factory calibration with a specified color accuracy of ΔE < 1.5 - however, a colorimeter for color calibration is not integrated. Included are classic functions such as Picture-in-Picture, Picture-by-Picture, and software-based remote management. ![]() Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U5226KW The design follows Dell&s UltraSharp series with narrow display bezels (10.34 mm on the top/left/right), making the UltraSharp 52 fundamentally suitable for multi-monitor setups, although such setups will likely not be necessary due to its extreme width and resolution. Extensive Interface SelectionThe wide range of interfaces on the U5226KW makes it clear why Dell calls it a hub monitor: it consists of two HDMI 2.1 ports (FRL), two DisplayPort 1.4 inputs, and one Thunderbolt 4 port (unfortunately not the current Thunderbolt 5) with up to 40 Gbit/s and Power Delivery up to 140 W, as well as several USB-A and USB-C ports (10 Gbit/s), an integrated USB hub, KVM switch, and 2.5 GbE Ethernet. ![]() Dell UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor U5226KW Interfaces ErgonomicsFor better ergonomics at the workstation, the UltraSharp 52 can be adjusted in height by up to 90 mm, as well as tilted (-5 to 10°) and swiveled (-20 to 20°) - pivot is not supported due to its size. The display also features VESA mounting (100 × 100 to 200 × 200 mm), cable management, and eye-care features such as Low Blue Light, Flicker-Free, and an ambient light sensor. The Dell UltraSharp U5226KW costs 2,915.50 Euros - for smaller requirements, Dell also offers several other models in the UltraSharp 52 Thunderbolt Hub Monitor series in sizes ranging from 24" to 49". deutsche Version dieser Seite: Dell UltraSharp 52" U5226KW - 6K-Monitor mit 99% DCI-P3 Abdeckung und 120 Hz |
