Event: Dissolution of the cinema - Limits of the film (Berlin)

While it is indeed with us especially on practical aspects of filmmaking, but here a reference to an event which could be for one or the other readers. In Berlin this week is from Thursday to Saturday a meeting place for the media-about film and cinema in a changing digital media landscape. In twelve lectures (ua. by Lev Manovich, Gertrud Koch and Diedrich Diederichsen) the question is asked, where between YouTube and art room, HBO and multiplex today (still & again) cinema, and what (still) film, with an academic jargon is necessarily expect to. Admission is free, and registration is not required, the talks will be partly in German, English and partly held on. The conference is organized by the Collaborative Research Center 626, Aesthetic Experience and the Dissolution of the Arts (FU Berlin).
