With the EOS R6 V mirrorless full-frame camera and the RF 20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ, Canon is introducing two new products for the "content creator" target group. The new duo expands a fresh market segment that sits somewhere between cinematic filmmaking and vlogging. This is evident, among other things, in this first RF full-frame lens with an integrated Power Zoom, which, together with the compact camera, enables motorized zooming once again, just like with earlier camcorders. ![]() The Canon EOS R6 V is now the smallest full-frame model with in-body image stabilization. The compact body weighs 688 grams, features an ergonomic grip, and has 12 freely assignable buttons. The camera enables recording in 7K RAW up to 60p, oversampled 4K up to 60p, 2K up to 180p, and high frame rates up to 4K 120p without crop for slow motion. With Open Gate, the EOS R6 V offers additional flexibility in post-production, as both horizontal and vertical formats can be cropped from a single clip. ![]() A 5-axis in-body image stabilization system is designed to ensure steady video recordings, not just for photos but also for videos. And the proven Dual Pixel CMOS Autofocus II with intelligent subject detection (people, eyes, animals, vehicles) should once again ensure precise sharpness. The most striking control element on the compact body is the small zoom lever, which can be used to change the focal length of the RF 20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ. ![]() This is complemented by a vari-angle monitor and a separate recording button on the front. Thanks to a side screw thread, the EOS R6 V also allows for vertical tripod mounting. The user interface rotates automatically when the camera is positioned vertically. In addition to short-form videos, the EOS R6 V is also intended to be suitable for longer formats such as podcasts or product videos. Thanks to active cooling, long recording times should not be an issue. Dual card recording and four-channel audio recording offer additional security and control, similar to professional cinema models. ![]() In photo mode, the camera captures 32.5-megapixel photos at up to 40 frames per second with an electronic shutter and offers Pre-Continuous Shooting, which allows images to be captured even before the shutter is actually released. For streaming, the USB-C interface of the EOS R6 V enables plug-and-play webcam use at up to 4K 60p. A full-size HDMI port and the multi-function shoe for compatible accessories round out the features. As a supplement to the EOS R6 V camera and the RF 20-50mm F4 L IS USM PZ lens, Canon is simultaneously launching a range of optional accessories for creators on the international market that are designed for modern content production, including: A BR-E2 Bluetooth wireless remote control, which supports all EOS cameras (except the EOS R100) or PowerShot cameras released from August 2022 onwards. Features include a lever for zooming and exposure compensation, making it an ideal accessory for vlogging, live streaming, and solo shooting. ![]() The HG-200TBR multi-function tripod grip combines a tripod and handgrip in one gadget that is suitable for both horizontal and vertical formats. A movie recording button as well as levers for zoom and exposure compensation allow for smooth and intuitive video recording. The BR-E2 wireless remote control is included with the HG-200TBR multi-function tripod grip. And last but not least, the AD-M1 Macro Lite Adapter Set is a special accessory kit for macro lenses and selected standard lenses. The set includes a mounting ring, a micro-light adapter, and a flash head holder, which enable improved close-up photography and creative lighting control. However, these accessories have not yet been announced for the German market; only the new V-camera and the lens have been. The EOS R6 V is expected to cost 2,499 euros, while the RF 20–50mm F4L IS USM PZ will cost 1,499 euros. Both products will also be offered as a bundle of camera and lens for a total price of 3,699 euros, and all equipment is scheduled to be available from June 24, 2026. deutsche Version dieser Seite: Canon stellt EOS R6 V und RF 20-50mm F4 als PowerZoom-Kombination vor |
