Adobe has now released the Premiere App for iPhone, which was already announced in September. It enables multi-track video editing on the go on your smartphone (an Android version is in development). For example, users can frame-accurately cut, overlay, and optimize video recordings for their social channels on the go, using a multi-track timeline with dynamic audio waveforms – with support from Adobe&s generative Firefly AI. The version, specifically developed for mobile devices, also supports automatic subtitle creation, unlimited video, audio, and text layers, 4K HDR support, and much more.
;) Adobe Premiere for iPhone With the Premiere iPhone app, video projects (especially in portrait format) can be created on the go and easily exported to TikTok, YouTube Shorts, or Instagram, or sent to Premiere Pro on the desktop for further editing. During export, the app can automatically adjust the frame size for each platform, ensuring the main action always stays in view. AI-based Firefly features are also integrated as an add-on in Premiere for iPhone. For example, sound effects can be easily generated by mimicking them with your own voice (a feature added to Adobe Firefly as a beta in July). With "Enhance Speech," studio-quality voiceovers can reportedly be recorded, even in noisy environments. For using the basic editing functions – editing and export – an Adobe ID is not even required. Only if a project is to be sent from the mobile device to Premiere Pro on the desktop, users must log in with an Adobe account that includes a Premiere Pro subscription and cloud storage. However, to use the generative AI features, Firefly generation credits must be purchased, and cloud storage must also be paid for if needed.
