Focus pullers take note: ARRI has introduced the new high-performance lens motor, cforce MAX. It is designed to be twice as fast as the cforce plus it replaces while maintaining the same power output, all while being 15 percent smaller and lighter.

ARRI cforce MAX
As a suitable addition to the more compact cforce mini and the wireless cforce mini RF in ARRI's lens motor portfolio, the cforce MAX is particularly well-suited for larger cine primes, zoom lenses, vintage lenses, and specialty optics that require power and precision. At the same time, its reduced form factor ensures versatility for handheld, gimbal, and studio configurations.
The motor's extremely low response latency and speed of up to 400 teeth per second are intended to enable a new level of focus tracking with adjustments in near real-time. With its advanced brushless motor, the cforce MAX is also designed to be quiet, durable, and easy to maintain.
The cforce MAX features an integrated display with a touchscreen interface for intuitive configuration and status monitoring directly on the motor. A physical button for controlling central functions, such as switching the motor axis, is also included.

Size comparison with the cforce mini
Like the other cforce motors, it offers two LBUS connectors for seamless daisy-chaining and flexible system integration using standard cables, as well as full LBUS backward compatibility. It can be used with most existing ARRI mounting brackets, rods, and drive gears, allowing film crews to easily integrate it into existing setups.
The new accompanying ARRI Motor Rod Clamp MRC-1 is designed to provide a particularly stable connection to the lens gears and allow for easy adjustment on 19mm and 15mm rods in multiple positions. (The MRC-1 is also compatible with the cforce mini and cforce mini RF.) Like the entire ARRI Electronic Control System, the cforce MAX will benefit from ongoing software updates that expand its range of functions.
The ARRI cforce MAX lens motor is reportedly available now.
