Leitz has introduced the new ELSIE series of full-frame cine primes, which consists of 13 German-made lenses with focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 150mm, all featuring a uniform aperture of T2.1 and LPL (Large Positive Lock) mount.

Designed from the ground up as high-quality cine lenses, the models in the new series all feature Leitz&s signature warmth and resolution, consistent size and speed, and a noticeable but gradual drop-off in resolution and illumination as the image approaches the corners, according to the manufacturer. A new bokeh design has been developed in collaboration with Leica Camera that more closely resembles Leica Camera&s M lenses, making out-of-focus elements appear painterly yet recognizable.
