Leitz has introduced the new ELSIE series of full-frame cine primes, which consists of 13 German-made lenses with focal lengths ranging from 15mm to 150mm, all featuring a uniform aperture of T2.1 and LPL (Large Positive Lock) mount. ![]() Leitz ELSIE 25mm
Designed from the ground up as high-quality cine lenses, the models in the new series all feature Leitz&s signature warmth and resolution, consistent size and speed, and a noticeable but gradual drop-off in resolution and illumination as the image approaches the corners, according to the manufacturer. A new bokeh design has been developed in collaboration with Leica Camera that more closely resembles Leica Camera&s M lenses, making out-of-focus elements appear painterly yet recognizable. ![]() Leitz ELSIE series at a glance The name ELSIE is inspired by Elsie Kühn-Leitz, the daughter of Ernst Leitz II, who dedicated her life to helping the oppressed and suffering, risking her own life to help them. ![]() Leitz ELSIE with RED camera The Leitz ELSIE Cine Primes include lenses with focal lengths of 15, 18, 21, 25, 29, 35, 40, 50, 65, 75, 100, 125 as well as 150mm, the first five models of which are scheduled to launch in the second quarter of 2022 at a price of 19,000 euros each. ![]() Leitz ELSIE data ![]() deutsche Version dieser Seite: Leitz ELSIE: 13 neue Vollformat Cine Prime Objektive für je 19.000 Euro |
