For the latest version 12 of the editing software Magix Video Pro X, the program interface for HiDPI support has been revised so that it is also displayed sharply on screens with high pixel density. The icons and graphic elements have also been modernised and the start dialogue has been tidied up.
Thanks to the updated Infusion Engine 2, a more comprehensive hardware support is now implemented with support for graphics cards from all market-leading manufacturers Intel, AMD and NVIDIA, which comes into play when decoding MP4 files in AVC and HEVC format.
In addition, a social media-friendly vertical video support has been added -- upright videos (mainly from smartphones) are recognized on import and displayed in the originally filmed orientation. Vertical project and export templates have been added.
Already in November, there was a minor update, where several alpha masks were added as templates, for example to let the edges of videos gently run transparent or to determine the specific appearance of title objects.
Magix Video Pro X 12 costs 399 euro, an upgrade costs 169 euro.
