At the IBC, Manfrotto presents two new Fast Tripods -- almost like in Fast Lock, because thanks to the newly developed, synchronized locking mechanisms between the upper and lower locking mechanism, the entire tripod leg can be locked in place with a single movement of the hand and, according to Manfrotto, set up particularly quickly.
Available in aluminum and carbon, the 645 Video Tripod is the first model in a new product line with double tubes and Ultra-L-Lock clamping technology for a secure stand. The tripod is equipped with a 2-in-1 hemisphere: a standard 100mm half-shell and a 75mm adapter to allow the use of a wider range of video heads. The 645 also has a mid-level spreader that can be used optionally.
The 635 Video Tripod is available in carbon and features the M-Lock twist-lock closure already introduced on the Befree tripods. The 635 has a 75mm hemisphere and is also compatible with a 60mm hemisphere adapter (sold separately). In addition, there are Easy Link 3/8" threaded connectors for attaching accessories.
Both video tripods feature a 3 leg angle mechanism for easy alignment and are equipped with spike feet including rubber boots. The Fast tripods are available from October or November in the kit with the new video heads Nitro 608 and 612, which were presented at NAB. The prices are between 1.090,83 and 1.388,33 Euro -- without head the Fast tripods will be delivered as it seems in Q1/2020 (664,41 Euro for the 645 / Alu resp. 942,08 Euro for the 645 / Carbon; 743,74 Euro costs the 635 / Carbon).
