LG has announced the new LG UltraGear evo series of premium gaming OLED/Mini-LED monitors with resolutions up to 5K, as well as other models, and will present them at CES 2026. Due to their excellent technical specifications, some of the new releases are interesting not only for gaming but also for professional video work. ![]() New LG UltraGear evo Monitors LG UltraGear evo 39" GX9: 5K2K OLED MonitorThe GX9, as the world&s first 39" 5K2K OLED monitor, not only offers a peak HDR brightness of partially 1,500 nits but also achieves absolute black levels with HDR True Black 500 certification, thanks to LG&s Primary RGB Tandem OLED technology, and covers 99.5% of the professional DCI-P3 color space almost completely. Its curved panel with a 21:9 aspect ratio has a resolution of 5,120 x 2,160 pixels (hence the 5K2K abbreviation) with a 1500R curvature and a pixel density of 142 ppi – LG states that it is targeting content creators such as video editors and cinematographers, in addition to gamers. Conveniently, it can be used, for example, to display native 4K video along with accompanying menus in an editing program. Additionally, the GX9 features an AI upscaling function that scales content without requiring GPU power. AI scene optimization and AI sound are also integrated to further enhance image and audio quality. ![]() LG UltraGear evo 39" GX9 Like the[new Samsung Odyssey monitors](www.slashcam.de/news/single/Neue-Samsung-Odyssey-Monitore---3D-6K-ohne-Brille--19730.html), the GX9 can also double its native refresh rate of 165 Hz to 330 Hz via Dual Mode by reducing the resolution (WFHD, i.e., 2,560 x 1,080 pixels). The GX9&s interfaces include a DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C port with 90W PD. LG UltraGear evo 27" GM9 - 5K MiniLED MonitorThe new 27-inch LG UltraGear evo GM9 (27GM950B) is the world&s first 5K New MiniLED display with a resolution of 5,120 x 2,880 pixels and was specifically developed for effective minimization of halo effects, which often occur in high-resolution MiniLED displays due to an insufficient number of dimming zones and thus limited brightness resolution. The GM9 aims to solve this problem using 2,304 local dimming zones and Zero Optical Distance technology, which minimizes the distance between the panel and the LED, thus delivering extremely high brightness and precise contrast to reproduce fine details in both bright and dark scenes. ![]() LG UltraGear evo 27" GM9 The GM9 also integrates 5K AI upscaling, AI scene optimization, and AI sound in real-time without GPU load. Furthermore, the GM9 supports a native refresh rate of 165 Hz and 330 Hz at a reduced resolution (QHD in this case) via Dual Mode operation. It has a VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and a peak brightness of up to 1,250 nits, covering 99% of the DCI-P3 color space. Its interfaces also include a DisplayPort 2.1, two HDMI 2.1 ports, and a USB-C port with 90W PD. LG UltraGear evo 52" G9 - 5K2K 240Hz MonitorThe LG UltraGear evo 52" (52G930B) sets another record—according to LG, it is the world&s largest 5K2K gaming monitor. It combines 99% DCI-P3 color space coverage, a VESA Display HDR 600 certification with a refresh rate of 240 Hz, and offers a 33% wider workspace compared to standard 4K UltraHD monitors. Its quite strong 1000R curvature is intended to envelop the user&s peripheral field of view for optimal immersion. ![]() LG UltraGear evo 52" G9 LG UltraGear evo GX7 - 27" OLED Monitor with 720HzThe 27-inch OLED monitor LG UltraGear evo GX7 with a QHD resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 is entirely focused on a high refresh rate, achieving the currently fastest among all available gaming OLED panels, namely 720 Hz in dual mode at a reduced resolution of 720p. This is combined with a VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 certification, 99.5% coverage of DCI-P3, and a response time of up to 0.02 ms. ![]() LG UltraGear evo GX7 The last new release in the new UltraGear evo range is the 32" 4K OLED 240 Hz Gaming Monitor 32GX870B with AI upscaling, dual mode (native 240Hz in UltraHD and 480Hz in FHD), 0.03ms (GtG), VESA DisplayHDR True Black 500 along with 99.5% DCI-P3 coverage, and DisplayPort 2.1, HDMI 2.1, and USB-C (PD 90W). Prices and further technical data are not yet known but will likely be published at CES 2026 in a few days. deutsche Version dieser Seite: LG stellt UltraGear evo Monitore vor: 5K-OLED mit 99.5% DCI-P3 und bis zu 1.500 Nits |
