Asus expands its line of professional ProArt production monitors with three new 4K QD-OLED models: the 26.5-inch PA279CDV, the 27" PA27UCDMR, and the 32" PA32UCDMR-K. The highlights of the new releases, which include both grading displays and an ergonomically optimized production monitor, are: reduced reflections, true 10-bit color depth, high color gamut coverage, high brightness of up to 1,000 nits, reproducible color output including hardware calibration, and high refresh rates of up to 240 Hz. The differences between the various models lie primarily in size, HDR support, calibration options, refresh rate, and panel coating. ![]() Asus ProArt PA27UCDMR, PA32UCDMR-K, and PA279CDV Asus ProArt OLED PA32UCDMR-KThe largest new model is the PA32UCDMR-K – it targets professional grading and editing workflows and is equipped with a 4K 31.5-inch QD-OLED panel capable of displaying deep blacks and briefly reaching a peak brightness of up to 1,000 nits and a refresh rate of up to 240 Hz (however, its typical brightness is only 250 nits). It covers 99% of the professional DCI-P3 color space, has a ΔE value of < 1, and is Calman-Ready certified. Furthermore, it is certified according to the VESA DisplayHDR True Black 400 standard and supports HDR in various formats: in addition to HDR10, Dolby Vision and HLG are also supported. ![]() Asus ProArt OLED PA32UCDMR-K Asus placed particular emphasis on color management for the PA32UCDMR-K – the monitor supports hardware color calibration using the included ProArt CaliContrO MCA02 and can save calibration profiles not only as ICC profiles on the PC but directly in a 3D LUT within the monitor. This ensures that the display is independent of the computer and program currently in use – it is possible to switch directly between the different color profiles on the monitor. ![]() Asus ProArt CaliContrO MCA02 Color Calibration Sensor IncludedThe ProArt CaliContrO MCA02 3-in-1 colorimeter can be operated via the OSD on the computer or via the included Asus ProArt OLED PA27UCDMRThe PA27UCDMR uses the same technology as the 32-inch model – just in a more compact format. Its 4K QD-OLED panel with up to 240 Hz is also used, and it matches its larger sibling in other technical specifications. The big difference: the ProArt CaliContrO MCA02 3-in-1 colorimeter and the hood are not included with the PA27UCDMR. InterfacesBoth models, the ASUS ProArt PA27UCDMR and the PA32UCDMR-K, have identical interfaces – they each feature two Thunderbolt 4 ports with DisplayPort signal, data transfer, and power delivery up to approx. 96 W, one DisplayPort 1.4 (with DSC), and one HDMI 2.1 input. This is complemented by an integrated USB hub with USB-A and USB-C downstream ports for peripherals. Asus ProArt PA279CDV - Extra Anti-Glare via LuxPixel AGLRThe main feature of the PA279CDV is an Anti-Glare, Low-Reflection (LuxPixel-AGLR) coating that reduces reflections and fine glare, making the screen appear more "paper-like" in bright environments. This is intended to make longer work sessions in front of the monitor – for example, during editing or grading – more comfortable due to minimized visual distractions on the display. However, the heart of professional workflows is the 26.5-inch QD-OLED panel with 10-bit color depth, 4K resolution, and a 120 Hz refresh rate, which covers 99% of DCI-P3 and supports a peak brightness of 1,000 nits and true black. However, working with HDR material is only supported via HDR10, not the more demanding Dolby Vision and HLG. The PA279CDV ships with verified factory calibration and low Delta E values of ΔE < 2 (Calman Verified), but without a colorimeter bundle and without the advanced hardware calibration approach of the UCDMR models. Its interfaces include USB-C (up to 96 W) for charging/docking, DisplayPort daisy-chaining, HDMI 2.1, an integrated USB hub, and an Auto-KVM for seamless switching between two computers with one set of input devices.
