Lenses with the "Air" model name have previously been offered by Viltrox – now TTARTISAN is following suit with the AF 17mm F1.8 Air for APS-C cameras. The focal length provides a full-frame equivalent of approximately 25mm, capturing an 81° angle of view. It is intended for use in street photography, portraits, and travel.
TTARTISAN AF 17mm F1.8 Air
The compact lens (47mm × 60mm) with an aluminum housing weighs approx. 161 g and features a reportedly quiet stepping motor autofocus, which is said to be equally suitable for both photo and video. Eye detection and face tracking are also supported with compatible cameras. The minimum focusing distance is 0.18m.
The optical design consists of 14 elements in 10 groups, including 2 ED (Extra-low Dispersion) elements and 3 HI (High Index) elements, which are intended to minimize chromatic aberration and distortions. The aperture consists of 6 blades.
