According to rumors, DJI is set to unveil the new Osmo Pocket 4 gimbal camera on April 20th. Thanks to various leaks—including an image of the box—we now know the most important technical specifications and features, as well as the fact that there will be a Pro version dubbed the Pocket 4P. Like the Pocket 3, the Pocket 4 features a 1-inch sensor capable of recording 4K video at a maximum of 120 fps and 10-bit D-Log, mechanically stabilized on 3 axes. And just like the Osmo Pocket 3, the version 4 also comes with a rotatable 2-inch OLED touchscreen.

The dynamic range has seen an improvement, now reaching 14 stops instead of the previous 13.5. A positive new feature is the 107 GB of integrated storage, which can be used as an alternative or in addition to microSD cards and can be read out at speeds of up to 800 MB/s via USB-C. The zoom has also been improved—it is now 2x lossless—a capability that the Osmo 3 only received later via a firmware update in February 2025.

The other innovations appear to be rather minor: it integrates dedicated buttons for zooming and for custom function assignment, an improved battery life compared to the previous model (Pocket 3: 1,300 mAh) thanks to a larger 1,545 mAh battery, better tracking via ActiveTrack 7.0, improved autofocus with face and object tracking, and an (optional) LED light that attaches to an arm above the camera.

As with the Pocket 3, the Osmo Pocket 4 can also record audio from up to two DJI Mic wireless microphones simultaneously using OsmoAudio as an alternative to the sound from the built-in microphones.
Indication of the Osmo Pocket 4P Pro version
The Pocket 4 brings gentle refinements rather than major innovations—the latter are reserved for the Pro model. The new Pro version (Osmo Pocket 4P) is expected to feature a dual-camera system with 1/1.1-inch sensors and a wide-angle lens, as well as a 2x or 4x telephoto lens—similar to the 
Insta360 Luna—which will enable recordings at 6K or even 8K resolutions and also offer advanced professional recording modes. However, it will likely be unveiled at a later date than the Pocket 4.
