Online Tools for Sony VENICE: Menu simulator and X-OCN data rate calculator

Sony offers two useful online tools for users of its 6K CineCamera with full format sensor Sony VENICE, the Sony VENICE menu simulator and the X-OCN data rate calculator.

The Sony VENICE Menu Simulator is an interactive online training tool to learn about the menu options of Sony&s CineAlta camera VENICE without having to hold it in your hand - a great way to get familiar with the menus and settings before shooting. The menus are navigated using the control buttons, just like on the real model. The browsers Google Chrome 63 (and above) and Safari 10 (and above) are supported - but we also worked with the current version of Firefox.

Using the

VENICE File Size Calculator, users can calculate how much storage space is required for a recording with a certain resolution (3.8K 16:9 - 6K 3:2), frame rate (23.98 - 59.94) fps with a certain X-OCN variant (ST/XT/LT) and a given recording time. In addition, the data rate is also displayed for the parameters used and information is provided on how many Sony AXS-A1TS48s are required for recording.
