Interestingly, there is reportedly no update to the sensor or optics for the RX10 V; it is said to feature the same 20MP 1.0-type CMOS and the same ZEISS Vario-Sonnar T* 24-600mm F2.4-4 zoom lens as before; whether this is actually true remains to be seen.

Regardless, thanks to the new processor with AI support, improved, modern autofocus functions such as object tracking will be possible. In the video department, new features are expected to include higher frame rates 4K at 120fps and HD now at 240fps as well as LUT support. (SLog3, on the other hand, was already available on the RX10 IV.) Furthermore, the camera body has apparently been redesigned, as the outline of the teased camera does not match its predecessor. The mode dial on the left is no longer visible; it is now located to the right of the viewfinder, more like the A7 series. It is not known where the camera will land in terms of price; the RX10 IV was launched at the time for 1,999 euros. Today, it is only available used for not much less money, which is why it wouldn&t surprise us if the price of the RX10 V started with a 2.
