Insta360 has introduced the Snap, a small magnetic monitor that allows users to use their smartphone&s powerful main camera as a selfie camera. The Snap&s display shows users the camera&s live feed in real-time, allowing them to see themselves and optimally frame their shots. ![]() Insta360 Snap The Snap solves the problem that a smartphone&s best camera is located on the back (for example, the main camera of the iPhone 17 Pro has 48 MP compared to just 18 MP for the front camera), meaning users have always had to rely on the inferior front camera for selfies because only that one allows a view of the display. This view is necessary to capture a selfie optimally by providing visual feedback regarding facial expression, pose, and framing. Two VersionsInsta offers the Snap monitor in two versions: one solo and one with an additional adjustable light to make selfies look good even in low-light shooting situations. This was developed by Insta360 in collaboration with AMIRO, a specialist in professional makeup lighting, and offers adjustable color temperature and brightness. The light allows users to illuminate themselves evenly for a selfie, even in the absence of or in poor external light, such as in a dimly lit restaurant or when backlit in front of a window. ![]() Insta360 Snap Plug-and-PlayThe Snap connects to the smartphone via a USB-C cable, which not only transmits the camera image but also provides power. The latency of the displayed live camera feed is only 30 ms. Thanks to its magnetic surface, the Snap can be easily attached to the back of the smartphone. The Snap&s screen mirrors the smartphone display, allowing for the usual adjustment of central settings, fine-tuning of the framing, and control of smartphone functions via the touchscreen. The preview image can be instantly mirrored with a tap for a more natural selfie view, making it easier to check hair, makeup, and facial expressions. ![]() Insta360 Snap According to Insta360, the Snap monitor is designed to work seamlessly with native camera apps as well as leading third-party camera and editing apps. The Snap comes with a 2-in-1 protective cover that protects the screen during storage and can be folded back while filming to prevent accidental touches of the smartphone screen. Price and AvailabilityThe Insta360 Snap selfie screen is available now and costs 95.99 euros with the light and 85.99 euros without the light. deutsche Version dieser Seite: Insta360 Snap macht die Smartphone-Hauptkamera zur Selfie-Kamera |
