Sennheiser has now expanded its portfolio of audio-for-video microphones to include the new compact MKE 200 miniature microphone, which has been specially developed for easy use on DSLRs and mirrorless cameras and smartphones. Its design minimizes disturbing noise caused by handling or wind.

The MKE 200 features a directional design to optimally capture the sound of what is being filmed while suppressing unwanted background noise outside the image. To also minimize handling noise, the microphone is equipped with an internal shock mount that acoustically decouples the capsule from the housing.

To protect against wind noise, the MKE 200 is equipped with an integrated layer of protective netting inside the housing. This protection is further enhanced when using the supplied wind shield for outdoor shots. The MKE200 does not require a battery.
