Support for ProRes RAW: Vegas Pro 2026 released in three versions, including BorisFX tools

The video editing software Vegas Pro now belongs to BorisFX has released a new version under its new management, which offers expanded 2D/3D title options thanks to the integration of Continuum. Also new is support for NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs and the ProRes RAW format, an updated AI model, and expanded AI-powered transcription and speech generation tools.
With Vegas Pro 2026, BorisFX is aligning its nomenclature with its own conventions (previously, versions were numbered; Vegas Pro 23 was released in September) and is further differentiating the feature set into three available packages: Pro, Pro Plus, and Pro Ultimate.

The Continuum Title Pack has been integrated into Vegas Pro. This collection of 2D/3D motion graphics and title tools allows users to design, extrude, deform, and animate titles and graphics without leaving Vegas Pro. It includes 70 drag-and-drop templates.

Thanks to the newly added support for NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, high-resolution material should be easier to edit smoothly. Playback, compositing, effect processing, and rendering are accelerated—those working with 4:2:2 material no longer require software-based decoding for AVC or HEVC formats.
Also new is native ProRes RAW support for imports. RAW parameters can be controlled directly within Vegas Pro (color space, ISO, and white balance).
The Z-depth effect has reportedly been improved and, thanks to a new AI-based depth model (trained by Boris FX), delivers more accurate depth masks in higher resolution as well as improved separation of foreground and background.
The AI features Speech-to-Text and Text-to-Speech are now also available offline. For the first time, users can access voice-over transcription completely offline. Offline transcription supports over 100 languages, offers text-based editing and automatic subtitle creation, as well as unlimited transcriptions (with various model options to choose from).
With Text-to-Speech, users can create AI voice recordings directly on their PC without an internet connection. It supports 9 languages and 54 voices with unlimited length for voice-over clips. Speed, pitch, and volume can be adjusted. (Both AI features are only available as part of Vegas Pro subscriptions.)
Furthermore, there is access to royalty-free stock videos, music, and sound effects from the StoryBlocks media library directly within Vegas Pro (only with a Vegas Pro subscription).

The next tier up, Vegas Pro Plus, contains all the features of Vegas Pro, plus additional tracking and masking tools, motion graphics & particle effects, audio editing, and AI-powered audio cleanup.

Integrated directly into Vegas Pro Plus is Mocha Planar Tracking functionality, specifically adapted for Vegas. This allows for easy tracking of surfaces and objects, creating masks and rotoscoping shapes, stabilizing footage, and applying tracked effects.
Also included as plugins are Particle Illusion Pro, which allows for the creation of photorealistic particle effects such as fire, smoke, sparks, sci-fi elements, and energy explosions, as well as CrumplePop. The latter uses AI technology to clean up audio recordings, remove background noise (traffic, wind, echo, reverb), and improve speech intelligibility.
Sound Forge is included as a standalone application that integrates seamlessly with Vegas Pro. It allows for professional audio mastering and restoration. Sound Forge provides a dedicated environment for detailed audio editing outside of the timeline.

Vegas Pro Ultimate brings four additional plugins or applications. First, it includes Mocha Pro with full tracking and rotoscoping functionality, as well as the full Continuum plugin collection with over 300 effects and over 1,000 presets. The CrumplePop SoundApp offers more capabilities than the plugin included in the Pro version, while the Optics toolkit allows for the creation of cinematic looks inspired by real lenses, lights, filters, and film stock.
