Viltrox is introducing a new, ultra-compact wide-angle lens for Sony E and Nikon Z mounts. The full-frame AF 26mm F2.8 EVO pancake lens features a metal housing, weighs approximately 130 grams, and measures just 23.8mm in length with a diameter of 66mm, making it ideal for use on the go, such as for street photography or travel.

Despite its compact dimensions, it features both a focus ring and an aperture ring for manual operation. The autofocus is powered by a geared stepping motor. With a minimum focusing distance of 20cm, it is capable of capturing quite extreme close-ups.
The optical design of the AF 26mm F2.8 EVO consists of 8 elements in 6 groups, including two aspherical elements and one high-refractive HR element. The lens is designed to achieve very good sharpness even at wide apertures. According to the manufacturer, in-camera correction further contributes to a natural image with minimal visible distortion.
43mm filters can be used on the pancake lens, and the lens cap is magnetically attached. The lens mount is dust- and splash-resistant.
