ProGrade has announced two new CFexpress 4.0 Type A Iridium memory cards with slightly higher capacities and dual VPG certification. The 512 GB and 1 TB capacity cards utilize a PCIe Gen4 connection with an NVMe 1.4c controller interface for higher performance than previous Iridium cards.

The ProGrade Digital CFexpress 4.0 Type A Iridium Dual-VPG memory cards are fully compliant with the CFexpress 4.0 specification and are designed to offer read speeds of up to 1,800 MB/s, burst write speeds of up to 1,700 MB/s, and a sustained write speed of 1,500 MB/s. Both cards are VPG800 and VPG400 certified—VPG stands for Video Performance Guarantee—and are aimed at professional filmmakers and content creators who record high-resolution video in demanding production environments. A minimum sustained write speed of 800 MB/s is supported according to VPG800.
