The Munich battery specialist bebop has announced a new model generation for its Vmicro series of compact and powerful micro V-mount batteries. The five new VmicroC models, with capacities ranging from 43 to 238 Wh, offer features such as USB-C Power Delivery (PD3) for input and output, a five-stage LED indicator, automatic communication with the camera, and a flashlight function. With these new batteries, bebop is specifically targeting mobile use, for example in compact rigs (Run-and-Gun, Gimbal, Documentary setups), where the combination of the micro V-mount form factor and USB-C PD3 charging function reduces the equipment necessary for shooting.
USB-C Ports with PD3The biggest improvement over other V-mount mini batteries are the USB-C ports, which are now included in addition to the classic 14.4V V-Mount/Twist D-Tap connections. They allow the batteries to be charged via USB-C (up to 40W) without proprietary chargers, andthanks to PD3to power other devices via USB-C with up to 45W.
