Hello,
I now after several days of tests with and read in various forums to persuade, I am more confused than being resolved. Therefore, here's my question times:
I would like to beginners as simple DV editing s.den with my og SD cards Camera captured (non-HD), MPEG2 video, operate and ultimately the results to DVD burn. As the price range I had about 100, - for the editing software are presented. From the above searches were so far the following programs into the "finals" with On:
1) Premiere Elements 4.0
2) Ulead Video Studio 11.5plus
3) Magix Video Deluxe 2007/2008/plus
Premiere I liked the surface, but there should be no smart rendering dominate. The offer of MainConcept plug-in solution for APE 3.0 is me with 60 - and too expensive to be unstable / buggy's and whether they are suitable for APE 4.0 is, I could not find out.
Video Studio is a bad performance (no sound multiprocessor support) and whether there is in MPEG2 frame can precisely cut and smart rendering is supported, I could not even answer their hotline.
Video Deluxe confused me with the different versions ( "2007", "2007/2008", "2008", "2007plus" 2007/2008plus "," 2008plus) and synonymous because I do not know what with smart rendering and cutting framegenauem. The their support in 0900-only phone number to get hold of, nothing good can be synonymous ancestors.
Who has real experience with either software or above the editing DV camcorder s.Material from above and can give me tips, which I s.besten weiterkomme (yes, perhaps something else entirely synonymous). I also have substantial potential issues overlooked?

I own the previous model SDR-S100 and could have lots of experience regarding mpeg2-smart rendering collect:
Ulead Video Studio (all versions) and Magix Video Deluxe (all versions) support is smart rendering, it only works unfortunately flawed. Often there are jumps and image formation artifacts (image blocks) at Scene Transitions (cut with apertures or titles). The origin is likely in mpeg2 encoder Company MainConcept is that both programs use. So, smart rendering is an absolute must, then these two programs are NOT recommended.
Premiere Elements, I have never been used, but have also heard that the smart-rendering plugin is faulty (it is also synonymous of MainConcept)
Programs, where the smart rendering should work well:
Womble Video Wizard-dominated smart rendering, but is otherwise very limited (demo version available)
SonyVegas8-dominated smart rendering, but is very expensive.
-VideoRedo, Cuttermaran (freeware) dominate mpeg2 smart rendering, however, are pure editing programs (no title, no soundtrack, etc) and only meant, TV recordings from the advertising rauszuschneiden.
General relating to mpeg2 smart rendering:
I was once synonymous think my editing software should be smart rendering support to the video quality to high (avoid re-encoding of this quality and loss).
Meanwhile, I now believe that smart rendering is no longer so important. Because smart rendering only prevented the resumption of unchanged Reencoden points in the video. Since I now propagated effects, masks, titles, etc. used in my projects, smart rendering is anyway only rarely to the train. I have accustomed myself, my pictures only in the XP mode (10Mbps, the highest quality) of the SDR-S100 and have to make a sufficient reserves when Reencoden (barely noticeable quality loss).
My video cuts can I do with Magix Video deluxe 2008plus, where I was the faulty smart rendering've always disabled.
I think that is the treatment Magix (Import, Preview, etc) of mpeg2 files much better resolved than in other programs and Magix synonymous is much more powerful than Ulead's Video Studio but that is often personal taste thing.
Incidentally, I voted for my SDR-S100 a small tool written sdcopy.exe which comfortably all MOD to MPG rename / copy can. Sdcopy are here:

On Main Concept mpeg2 encoder just can not lie, because it's been said that Vegas 8b error (blocks formation) when activating the Smartrendern no longer exist. 8a In Vegas, we had yet, but it was (painstakingly) fixed.
Wombel is extremely fast, but at least occasionally synonymous nice error in the material inside.
