Hitachi: 4 terabyte hard drives are planned for 2009

Following Moore's rule of thumb is to double in short, every two years, the efficiency and capacity of the hardware component. This means that the 4 terabyte hard drives, Hitachi in 2009, the market wants, exactly according to schedule, and not strictly seen quadrupling over (like now at the time of announcement). Nevertheless, a great thing for video editing. Newly developed, called CPP-GMR heads will make it possible (for more info see the announcement of Hitachi via tinyurl, link below).
