I consider my work to create a new Camera.
We are a news portal and have a few months reinforced synonymous video contributions. So far, we have a SonyVX2100 in use that does a good job, but certainly not exactly state-of-the-art is. ;)
Now I wonder what the Camera successor. However, I'm not sure if it could with the format be problems. At least there are in our files only DV material. I fear that, for example, AVCHD is not particularly good with DV (16:9, anamorphic) can be combined. The only time I've combined DV with a different format (HDV of a SonyHDR-HC1), the results were sobering. The image quality of the material was HDV in Final Cut Pro as a DV-PAL Profjekt significantly worse than in the HDV-Project, in fact, even worse than the DV material. I fear it could be a similar problem with AVCHD.
The images from the archive are certainly very important, so it is not possible in the near future is not to do so.

I'm sure something biased because I'm very much synonymous with VX2100/PD170 rotated and still turn to, but I would s.eurer place at the Sony stay as long as it is operating correctly. For online videos of 480x270 brings HD recording no practical advantage, and is approached for an HD camcorder, the handling of s.die VX2100, you can easily spend ¬ s.aufwärts of 3000. If the money is there and needs to be spent, it invests in doubt, better sound and light, as this can be achieved more of a visible improvement in quality.
