12 tips for cutting the film of Thomas - 17 Dec 2008 16:09:00
The "digital film" blog are 12 valuable tips for the subjective film editing for a movie to make convincing. Among other things, it advised:
- Dialogues "close" to cut, to be called the unnecessary pauses and synonymous unnecessary or repeated sentences cut and equally unnecessary to "theatrical" gesture to fake, for "too much" impact
- Dialogue is not in accordance with the model A Picture of actor says of his sentence, editing, actor B responds and says his record - but Schmnitte the visual and sound asynchronously treat, for example during A nor B is talking (and his reaction to the A of said ) to show
- Matched to make cuts, ie cuts from the previous picture a movement, form, stance or hand position in space on
- Bewegte cuts: in action scenes with moving camera during a camera movement to the next to be cut without cutting the camera until the stop - the eye of the beholder in constant motion to be
- Not always the same camera settings to cut back: if the choice of multiple camera angles of a scene, a scene not in the exact same camera settings of the previous scene (if possible) zurückzuschneiden
- Orientation cuts in triplets: a scene is made to cut off the shots for a place / room to imagine, then 3-sequences of 1.5-2 seconds scenes well - they resemble the natural circular around where if you come and want to orient
- The expression of the eyes to observe the cut: intense feelings of good actors are, in large part with the eyes conveys - assuming dialogue scenes cut
- Create new settings: if the source footage Resolutionhat good, it is often possible to match new settings in the camera cut to create, by the Picture and then will be enlarged so as zooms or pans can be simulated digitally, of course, the prerequisite is the material still looks good enough.

Very good instructions and wervolle it, especially those in which it is recommended that all be removed by trimming scenes, where actors utriert committed or unnatural little played.
Then there would be virtually no series on television more, magnificently.

Maybe, and intuitively, we probably almost all almost exactly that, with more or less success! But: If you were in a position, so these tips in a comprehensive way and concentrated themselves on paper to bring? - Precisely! And that's why they are quite valuable, especially for less experienced and successful editor of a doubt when you are! ;-)

One thing I have is already done intuitively, namely, the sound is not continuously synchronously to the Picture. For example, the ringing bells of a church even before the actual picture to begin and then dramatically increase if it really looks.
This Vorau ropes or reverberation of sound is a truly delightful affair.
But in an interview I have ever switched quite good if one or the other has spoken, but it is quite clear: so far has been synonymous to the reaction of people in the counter shot down.

And your point is ...??!!

Antwort von domain:

What do your graces?
My point is that I am still synonymous fascinated how quickly a cognitive process with external professional help can take place.

Repeatedly valuable these tips. Especially for us amateurs, which saves us a sumptuous, full university degree - at least in principle.

Antwort von domain:

Exactly, in principle, it could save us a bit.
But for still image and video you need not actually a real study.
The "training" is grossly overestimated, it can only accelerate a little and express what already existed before, namely talent and imagination.

Old hands of the Pike vs. grünschnabelige Unischnösel, which could have a conversation or other dispute ignite ...

The "photographer" at us with their talent and their imagination exactly the right pictures, but often do not know quite how they should join. They cut timid, the effect is not optimal. The "editors" is reversed. You have ten fewer meaningful images, but have no problem on ten different types of cutting.

The tips are a matter primarily for the "photographers". While they cut, they must be the pride of their power to hide and start to play around. In contrast to compositions for eternity in front of you must cut no respect, then what you can afford respectable.

Yes this is true 100%. I've synonymous still problems with it. Only gradually did I in logical sequences in image sequences for my little movies learned to think and I notice today synonymous error in editing, because I just some settings in retrospect missing.
Film is probably one of the toughest media in general.

A real praise but times s.die Slashcam moderation in 2008.
This forum will never really be one-sided. Immer wieder mal stimuli come in directions that can not be expected.
I do not know who I really should respond, but the whole thing is clever and well made and there must, of course, real people in the background potter.
For those times, I would like to say a thank you for all the "inconspicuous" work they have done.
