Infoseite // A computer problem, can someone help me?

Frage von Lutz Dieckmann:

Hi,

I am a film man, no ITmensch. For some time I have a problem that is worse. It would be great if someone could give a hint. It should not be synonymous in vain.

The following situation.
I have in my three main computer network. One of them with two operating systems installed.
Calculator 1: WinXP Prof.
Calculator 2: WinXP Home
Calculator 3: 2x WinXP Home (3 Separation Calculator I follow up)
Calculator 3: A configuration with only AVID Liquid, one with the rest (AE, mail, browser, etc.)

All have fixed IPs Calculator
All Calculator sitting behind a D-Link router
All have Internet Calculator
All Calculator can ping each other
Any calculator can be on the "Search computers" feature, and use
Calculator 1 may look everywhere but None shall look to search 1 (except printers use)
WinXP firewall is turned off everywhere
Outpost Firewall is configured the same except for Calculator 3 (AVID Liquid installation, there is no any software except Installaition Liquid. This installation is not synonymous to the grid)
As Virenwächer are installed on all computers: Antivir, Spybot, AdAware, and all updated A2Squared
The problem remains synonymous with off Outpost Firewall exist.
Viruses, worms, or the like were not found

Until some time ago, I could on the calculator 1 all achieved using the "Network Connections" in Explorer. Then it was suddenly "the network could not be found" or "The list of network servers can not be displayed. If I were on "computer" go, it works.
Since yesterday is synonymous of Calculator Calculator 2 to normal 3, the "Network Connections" link in the Explorer no longer work. 3 to Calculator Calculator 2 goes.

Has any more idea of IT and can give me a tip?

That would be supernett.

Many greetings

Lutz

You give the computer name in the Explorer or the IP?

Have here a similar case, odd. After a reinstallation of XP Winbugs I could no longer be on a different calculator on the network access, but only if I change the name (ie computer name) in the Explorer. I give the IP, I come out without any problems.

Untested, but might help:
Setting up a new working group (under a new name) of one of the Calculator On. The Windows asks whether you wish to save the settings to run on other computers. This file you pack on a Stick and lead them to the devices.

Possibly. then lost your privileges, but may help's.

(Which permissions? My as Admin? That would be bad. And I like to acquire them again?)

Quote: (new group name or new name admin?)
New Working Group. Then you need a new name for the group to create.

You click on

Network ID -> This computer belongs to the corporate network -> Network WITHOUT domain -> enter new name (instead of Workgroup)

and then you can decide whether the settings in a file should be saved to you by the area tragn can. The get you but only if the group does not exist yet.

Quote: What permissions? My as Admin? That would be bad.
The printer should be re-configured (possibly) that the folder only of certain Calculator looks, etc.

Quote: And how to acquire I find them?
By you it would do exactly the same way as before. Even up or let up.

Hi,

Thanks for your help. I'm still not through experimenting with everything but at least I now connect through the SEARCH function. That works. The rest I see in the next few days.

That was really supernett of you
