Why did you left out iMovie? No joke.

I had 'times without success (and just out of curiosity) tried a SD9 AVCHD material in my Final Cut Pro 5.1.4 to import (I update again s.Studio3).

Only via a detour through iMovie succeeded me to capture. The capture scratch, I could then Final Cut Pro to provide - is synonymous but then a *. mov.

More on the topic, I can not help AVCHD, except that the owner of the SD9 camera with Vegas (PC) cope quite well with his slightly older computer configuration the bottleneck in the workflow represents.

PS.: Are you with the AVCHD Canon thread in the forum happy?

Native AVCHD editing on the Mac is just my Premiere Pro CS4 possible. Motion and AE are not cutting programs, but compositing tools. Whether AE CS4 AVCHD editing, since I am not certain degree, but if it is the performance exactly as in Premiere Pro. Ergo, you either transkodierst, or you can climb on to Windows.

This makes I-Only synonymous much better for the nonlinear editing as the Long GOP method in which the parallel processing of data across multiple frames across a much more complicated. "
