Infoseite // AVID and external hard drive

Frage von mika:

Hello

I have the Avid Media Composer version 3.0 and an external hard drive iomega of (1d). Now I wanted my films and restore directly to the external hard drive (via usb 2). but I always get the following error message: Exception: Operation not supported, filename: creating 1

The pay hike up when I get wegklicke. I can do nothing else synonymous. and once I remove this message, it immediately appears back on and with a higher number. on my HDD in my mac, I can save the movies directly, but extends to the total memory is not enough.

somebody has an idea and can help me? I slowly begin to despair!

Antwort von lumpi:

Is the external hard drive FAT32 or NTSC?

Synonymous times I had a similar problem with a 2.5 inch HDD ... there were just too many USB devices plugged in s.PC, but with a USB hub with its own power supply then it has worked.

Antwort von emu:

Sounds like a FAT32 problem, but is only 'conjecture ne. If you s.Mac work, you can only HFS directly with the Avid discs. Not even the consolidieren on a FAT32 disk to work.
