I use the Digital Video Camera SONY DCR-HC 40E.
This has an intelligent accessory shoe?
I had me a Microphone ECM HST 1 with an Active interface shoe purchased. Somehow, this microphone does not fit the shoe of the camera.
Is there a difference?
Who can give me any information?

you have now found a solution? Are there actually two incompatible systems? I just was about to purchase a microphone items be DCR-TRV120E and do not want to order from ignorance somewhat inappropriate.

@ Alex sorry s.den HC's 2005 model 39 / 42 gabs shoe Active Interface Accessory, just as the right to HST 1, HGZ 1 or HQP 1 - 2006 are coming back new incl a Sony Bluetooth Micro.
Before that was the intelligent accessory shoe, such as eg for the HC 40 with the corresponding Micro's zb HM 1 or HS 1st
Sony at our expense, unfortunately, constantly changing their program ......
@ Hoal, the TRV 120 is a bit older, and has no intelligent accessory shoe with safety or with an Active contacts. Is easy to find out, the top plate only 2-4 screws without contacts or are blocked because of me 6 or small pins?

Thanks for the quick reply. With a little research on the net, I rausbekommen are now synonymous. The TRV120E has the "intelligent accessory shoe. So not compatible with the newer mics.
A pity really, because I had taken the ECM HST1 in the eye, but that's probably nothing. Instead, I prefer the current MSD1. Seems to be the direct predecessor, with 3.5 mm jack. The major disadvantage is probably that it is not by a rubber buffer of the camera is disconnected.
Does anyone recommend this experience with Micro, or can me a good? It should be used for the recording of piano concertos.

I would not have thought that the TRV 120 already has a smart shoe, she's been a few years old.
The MSD 1 had undermined, I probably, well in today's world are so many models with many accessories because you will remember not all of its predecessors ....
And the testing is synonymous with good, 2 microphones synonymous same firm / similar price eg HST 1 and HGZ 1 got in the contrasting opinions Videoaktivdigital that there is HGZ 1 failed.
Experience with the MSD 1, I have not, hopefully there is someone else.
