Hi @ all! I wondered for a long time, what it has with Avid so on that most professionals (eg TV channels), used Avid. Sure, there are a few advantages of Avid as all this work and server transfer. This is synonymous advantageous in nem transmitter. Now I have been working throughout the ner now with Adobe Premiere and Edius. Both synonymous, I know pretty well. Synonymous are relatively clear. Now I wanted but soon may make the jump to Avid as it later in my professional life would certainly help to know me with the software used to. I wanted to let you Avid professionals ask, where is the essential difference of Avid (Media Composer) to the conventional Schnittsoftwaren (like Premiere)? Do I make myself ready for a big change?

AVID is in some covering ranges / newsroom and for the FILM section widespread.
Otherwise apply: The best software is the one that you s.besten knows.

I think this has mainly "historical" reasons, Avid was apparently used s.weitesten particularly prevalent.
My guess.
Channel and anything else with a large (personnel) costs are indeed no innovation centers, the time just want to change everything ... if we started again with Avid, you will stop here.

just as it is .. I still think the most poorly thought out and ugliest Avid editing program! Which one does not know any advantage with Premiere & Co could not synonymous to? But as I said, if one views the program begins with one synonymous remains synonymous when others were better!

One by one I've done much better experience with Premiere. The same project as at ext ner. Plate I previously kontn imemr problems on two computers during open and edit with Avid problems has made me many times. Okay, probably added nem biggest part of any operator error was synonymous MMN from resuliert me that Avid seems to be unnecessarily complicated.

naja who already starts with Avid ... And Avid is really ugly ... but gt. this is ultimately no preference ... Otherwise I would be cut with Pinnacle or so ... With someone can recommend to beginners tutorials for Avid?

Times have been the Avid Xpress Pro HD with Mojo Box. If I had help or special requests, I have always turned me s.Avidforum.de (sorry) for external advertising. There are as synonymous here very competent editor online, only halt specializing in Avid. Synonymous, there you will find links to tutorials and everything around Avid.
I've sold my Avid system, because some things comparably to other editing programs are very complicated. Avid stands out of the competition, so in my opinion, only in the "high end" from the field. You talk to your besorgs Avid Symphony and the appropriate hardware. (Nitris DX) and perhaps even the DS tools. In conjunction with the Pro Tools, etc. for the correct audio output etc
If you have a lot of money, I'd recommend you Avid, Premiere or FinalCut otherwise more.
Experience with Avid you could be of help already, but I think it will not impress if you've already cut times with Avid Media Composer! ;-)

Final Cut Pro when it comes to matters pure cut and color is actually better (but as synonymous with Avid in combination with extra hardware ausreizbar / felt)

Larger systems software only pays for group work / projects.
And today, the minimum cost of network servers for the small business that truly makes almost no sense to talk about it too much to invest because the cost!

This should indeed be the crucial point: Many companies rely on a "best" operating concept, so that editors need to learn not so long.
