And with Panasonic DV with Sonyaufgenommen play on PC?
Frage von Sonnenfahrer: März 2006
A question of understanding:
If I have a DV tape-recording, the with a "high definition" camcorders (high pixel count) was made with another camcorder to the PC dub, this is easily doable or not?
Come synonymous, the image information on the PC, dubbed the camcorder can not even start?
Actually this would work out but, because it is finally digital.
And are there any known problems between different Brands?
Perhaps even knows someone in this topic.
Nice greetings SOLAR DRIVER

Basically, that goes with standard DV recording. DV is a standardized recording procedures.
Normal shots are called in SP mode. Problems can arise if the Long Play (LP) mode was recorded.
In LP mode recording tracks are close together on the tape devices and variations are critical.
Incompatible with standard DV camcorders are of course other digital video formats, so shooting HDV or DVCAM recordings as well as different Kasettentypen ( "big" DV tapes to MiniDV) camcorders.
Good luck The fat Stefan

Right. Long Play is in fact not standardized and may of LP recordings can be played any other than the host device.
