Hello!
As I depart the next few days on holiday, I'll probably miss my favorite show on TV.
So is there the possibility that the Pc starts up automatically, takes up the show and then shuts down?

Festplattenreceiver or DVD recorder with time recording function is certainly the easiest option.

Lack idea for a complicated method, here is a simple: Please someone from your circle of friends, you receive the consignment.

When I think about how much time I already had invested in order to convince my PC with SAt map to the proper recording of various programs, I am yet again on the smooth disk of Technisat Receiver and the DVD recorder of Panasonic. Sometimes the two are simply unbeatable ....

I know not with what else but working ne nem nice TV card with Linux and Mhyst TV avails next. The synonymous can import into its database, the program guide. But for a short holiday to be set up shortly. :)

On my calculator with DVB-S card and DVBViewer that works smoothly and even more reliable than my HD receiver.
For DVBViewer was such a TaskScheduler plug needed. I've installed some time ago, and since then everything goes automatic. I have only the program items; the German channels, I can click directly on the EPG, and it is then (admitted before and after the nominal time I have a spare 5 minutes before and 15 minutes afterward discontinued, VPS, there is not) . The PC then goes up 2 minutes before the start of the recording time from sleep mode, picks up and then drive (if so programmed) synonymous back to sleep.
However, I have heard that the thing with the idle state heavily dependent on the motherboard. With some it will not work properly.
