I was recently after a suitable camcorder for outdoor (forest, meadow) and Sport (Tennis) asked, but could provide no satisfactory answer, since I am in the consumer area not know.
The person had the SDR-SW20 envisaged because it dust-and watertight and shockproof to be. I personally wonder how much hold the image on the line remains - What do you think?

I had a Panasonic SDR-S10, the previous model. This was only water resistant, non-dense, but seems to be technically very similar to his (800K CCD, etc.).
I was very disappointed of the picture quality. It was worse than my first SonyDigital8 of 1998 ... For my purpose - under extreme conditions - but enough.

The device is usable. I had such a've sold but because the files with my Sony devices were not kompatiebel. Resolution704/576. This mandatory program ghört SD copy to the calculator, since 19 / 9 files are not properly transferred. The quality of the recordings is otherwise satisfactory.
