Hi Folks, I am the first time in the forum and greet you warmly.

I have been working with a Canon XM2 einger time, suck the movies via Firewire to PC and edit with Studio 9.4, and the whole'm satisfied.
I am now an inexpensive Beta Cam been offered.
What would you recommend me? Does it make sense?
About which way I get the movie into the PC?
What problems could there be?
What hardware is recommended?
What do I have to look for when purchase of such a camera?
I look forward to answers.

If you're satisfied with the XM2, I would think about putting money into a - if synonymous cheap - Betacam to. Is it a Betacam or Betacam SP? I would, if possible erstmal look at the big picture of Cam, as an older Betacam SP does not necessarily mean better pictures than the XM2. And with a Betacam SP without me because I'd be even more uncertain.

Then there is the money for this player nen, which is not cheap!
Because the cassettes so you can not, as in a DV cam playback in the camera, but the need to establish a Betacam Betacam cassette player. And that can cost as much again as the camera.

In a pinch you can just copy can be synonymous to MiniDV (for example, we offer), but that's not really feasible for a long time, as too expensive. no, that would be used as a converter to scrap xm2 absolute. since you can exceed a CVBS lead out of beta sp camera / maz and the xm2 makes it then a dv signal.

the problem is to composite it is the worst signal, there is. this is actually s.einer maz only for connection of any preview monitors thought. So let such a nonsense better, unless there is no other possibility. because your xm2 make better pictures than what you believe in composite from the beta rausbekommst.
