not too weak. I can even with my ancient 800 MHz notebook great capture and the material on the same FireWire card to an external disk.
When I SonyFX1 can define what will be output, for example, I can play out HDV as DV. There are a whole bunch of options ... the instructions is synonymous a little confusing s.dieser place.
Perhaps the problem lies there in your camera settings, so Canon is synonymous these options?

As the HDV-Out and Direct Stream Stream File with HDVSplit (without Preview -> takes too much performance) TOP. The xlt files I watch with vlc (http://www.videolan.org) to. Then, purely in order APPro2 and s.Geschneide.

Of capturing HDV with APPro2 is a gamble. Top time it works, sometimes there are interruptions, noise, etc.
The best solution is HDVSplitt and VLC player, then so purely in APPro2 and - with a little patience - cut and effects racks. That works perfectly with my A1.
