Infoseite // CANON HF10 vs. SonyCX11

Frage von staganb:

Hello dear community,

I need your advice to me Will a HD camcorder without a hard drive growth.
Now have the choice to two reduced models: Canon HF10 and SonyCX11.
I can not decide. HF10 is reportedly the best quality, also requires no expensive memory sticks.
But on the other hand, scores CX11 is a touch screen display with better resolution.

What I still do not have rausgefunden is the sound. Give it here differences between the CX11 and HF10? If I really have seen can only HF10 Stereo (2 Micro is synonymous). The CX11 has 5 micros and has Doulby Sorround. Is that so?

Other question I have is regarding storage medium. Can I get any HF10 SDHC card, or should I specify for data transmission speed to look out for? If this data rate for capturing important or simply the lowest write speed has offered the highest quality when recording?

Another question. Do Memory Sticks (for CX11) have any advantages over or SDHC is the price by only Sony-monopoly warrants.

Thanks in advance!

Hello,

yes you can recommend both cameras - are the total package just a bit apart. Is like Mercedes to BMW.

Although the Sonyeine Automatic Camera is without Connections. Your missing so things (Tonaussteuerung manual, manual shutter, microphone input, headphone output, 25 P program) which can Canon & owns. Sonyhat for PAL recording, the slow motion and a few small items. The Lächelerkennung with Still Image I is not seen as an advantage.
The LCD is the same size and Resolutionca (CX 11, which is not the LCD 900k of SR 11 & 12 but a 211k LCD)

Sonymischt from her 3 microphones, a 5-channel sound, it really can not talk of 5.1 sound. Video Magazine have confirmed that. The sound was, depending on the user little or no better description.

The best data rate of the HF 100 is 17 Mbit / sec so just over 2 MB / sec. So, a Class II card already scarce. Therefore, we recommend Canon for high quality A class IV card. But you should the company care because some cheap suppliers with their speed exaggerate. The new HF 11, 24 MBit / sec, exactly 3 MB / sec this is synonymous of the Class 4, for example, Panasonic or San Disk Ultra good enough.

During the warranty period, the Sonydie ahead 24 months vs. 12 months for Canon.

The memory sticks SD card to have no significant and practical benefits. When you consider the fast 1 GB San Disk Ultra II cards in Class 4 of about half a normal GB Memory Stick Pro Duo is the cost price is not justifiable. But that was always so. Memory Sticks are rarely broken - good but SD cards as well.

The "Neighbor" Still Image XD cards have at least as a theoretically faster Addressing & processing of data. Normal Memory Stick Pro Duo, so ca max 4MB / sec can process - so they create just the 4th class The faster cards come to 8-10 MB / sec, the newly presented PRO HG Duo HX come at about 15 MB / sec - what with the cameras but not needed anyway - is in series for digital camera RAW image photography and interesting.

with the LCD, I've read. Bin of the display with 900k expected SX11.
So much the better. Then, the balance in the direction steered Canon.
Now I just watch where they s.schnellsten and s.günstigsten gets:)

Another quick question, for how long recording time of 16 GB's when nöch quality HF10?

Hello,

I have the HF 10 never had in his hand - only addition to their model HF 100th
If I remember it should be about 2 h at 17 MBit / sec-best quality
- Sometimes quickly Calculator rausgram
17 MBit / sec = 2.125 MB / sec = 127.5 MB / min = 7650 MB / h
16384 MB = 16 GB
16384:7650 MB / h = 2.141 ... h = yes would be just over 2

That can actually synonymous in the mind rausbekommen, but we humans are now comfortably times ...
