Infoseite // Camcorder Recommendation for iMac

Frage von pheno:

Hello folks!

I would like to see a growth in the camcorder price range between 600-900 euros. You should have a camera with 4MP or more included and if possible to HDD or SD Card record. DVD camcorders are for the post rather badly. A Firewire port would obviously synonymous very well, but most of the camcorder is in the iMac and iMove or Final Cut Express.

Should I perhaps prefer a HD or SD standard to choose?!
Questions about questions. I hope you can send me your expertise with some advice. In the forum I have already searched, but found no recommendation on the requirements of my case.

Oh yes, I had already synonymous Sanyo VPC-HD1A envisaged, but I've read that are not as precise shots do?
Vielen Dank schon mal.

HDD and SD synonymous, because they are also compressed as MPG record. If you want to edit, use MiniDV.

The Mac compatibility should be the slightest problem, but if you post is important, then I would both DVD as synonymous HDD and SD card camcorder from closer to election. Setz prefer to MiniDV tape, because you save a few times already s.Problemen.

So many thanks for this time have helpful suggestions. Now I have learned that (almost) nothing about a miniDV camcorder goes!

What does it actually made with HD camcorders (as HDD or DVD)? Eg of Sony? I find 'the Sony devices already great. Be HDV recording in MPEG4 made? As far as I know the Mac has no problem with HDV and not synonymous with MPEG4.
Thank you have time for the many tips.

HDV is MPEG2, AVCHD is MPEG4.

s.okay. Thanks Bernd. That is what I have seen. The new Sony Camcorder support AVCHD yet. Is that then your opinion is better than miniDV? For example this one: HDR-UX1E
Thank you

In a few weeks / months, it may already look different, but now is probably the AVCHD recording format, which is s.schwersten nachzubearbeiten. Others can be more concrete about this but surely say - synonymous to question your DV or HDV, which is both on (Mini) DV tapes recorded - since I am neither HDV nor AVCHD really interested.

Antwort von Jan:

Take no UX 1 but only if SR 1st

Because only 15 min in the best quality fit out (if None DVD DL)
Because at the moment almost no DVD player which can play DVD's.
Because the data at 3 Mbps at SR 1 is higher.

Okay. Thank you Jan.
I would rather synonymous to Sony SR1E ... I tend now to 1069 ¬ euro seen.

The AVCHD mode would SR1E but with the H.264 (MPEG-4) codec, or record? Both MacOS X as synonymous Quicktime master of my knowledge this codec. Then iMovie but probably synonymous have no problem with that?
Thanks and regards,

I can not confirm because I'm Winbugs user. But I would be surprised. I do not synonymous compatriots whether the supplied software on Mac is capable of - that you should do with Sony, but - because in times like Consumer Reports only Windows compliant.

Since I would be careful, ask in the iMovie forum. I'm rather skeptical. Mpeg2 is synonymous a Quicktime compliant codec, it still uses DVD-Cam owners nothing. Setz prefer HDV, if it is necessarily to be HD. The iMovie may in any case.

Everything is not mature. A supplied software? Finger weg!

Yes, the bundled software is not Mac compatible - is known of Sony, the Sony & Mr. Gates is well understood. Also a reason why Sony always very fast updates is allowed to do on XP ....

Since there are still NEN rough set on the package which sounds something like: "Dear Mac community our beautiful camera is not compatible with them" Hmhm It concerns namely the mitgeliefterte SW - but the man several times to emphasize the need ....
