One of Canon HG get for the money are not worth quite well.
Then has a hard drive as a recording medium. For home use that are quite ok.

The storage media is not of prime importance, for example, would be important to know whether
1. It is a camera with SD or HD and Resolutionsein
2. The Filmed in any form should be processed on the PC, which requires in the case of the now widely-HD AVCHD format, some computer power.
