Infoseite // Camcorder to take pictures?

Hey Guys,

I am now of been a photographer friend mentioned that would like to take pictures without clicking ", and developed the idea of buying a (very good) camera, home to save individual frames from the movie as pictures.

I think it only comes with a camera SDI recording in question, in order to save the frames at all good enough quality.

Spontaneous me the Red One is sunken, and I must say that I am in a price range, move in which a purchase for this purpose, have no personal experience. So here out my question:

Is there a video camera or a setup, with which a video stream can be stored quality is so good that a photographer photographed (usually with a Nikon 3D) with each frame as Stillimage can be satisfied?
If so, what would you recommend me there, or in what price range is something like playing from then?

Priced first there is no limit ...

I'm very curious about answers ...

A normal camcorder - the Red One already mentioned leaving thus distinguished from the outside - with a maximum of 1920x1080 pixels on Resolutionvon (FullHD considered). They are just over two megapixels, which for photos is not just exaggerated a lot. Depending on the claim, although you can certainly use the time still images from a video as Stillimage (for a DVD cover, for example), but a Nikon D3 I would not use it to send into retirement.
Maybe the Red Scarlet would be a compromise solution? It achieves at least a good five-megapixel resolution, is priced under the One and promises to be one of the most interesting camcorder. Sorry, "" promise and "are" synonymous its main problem: No one can foresee the time when it will actually come to market. According to the recently announced problems with the development we are cautiously optimistic of times from 2011 ;-)

So first of all the thing heist D3, the second has the RAW file is much more than 3MB.

That with the devices is known.
And the d3s is not as sensitive to light as the D3 (which I now know it again ;-)). And it is its not too slow. It's actually been just a nice idea, and the have / it was now be tested for suitability ...
