I've just bought a camcorder and the transfer to my laptop I now have the following problem: my notebook (Gericom Webshox Per4mance) no usb 2.0 connection but just a normal one. Moreover, he does not have a PCMCIA interface, so that an adapter fails my knowledge as synonymous alternative. for a connection via dv cable I need a tv card, right? is not in my laptop in it. irdend somebody has an idea how I could still transmit the data? thank you very much

The problem is not the notebook s.sich, but the lack of PCMCIA interface. About PCMCIA can connect almost anything.
PS: Are you sure you at all? I do not know your Gericom, but laptops without PCMCIA are actually very rare.

what camera do you have? No USB 2.0 port and no PCMCIA I can hardly imagine, yes, the laptop must be aged at least 5 years.
