If you consider that even a full-length feature film is exclusively been rotated with Steadicam ("Russian Ark" in a single take of more than 90 minutes long!), Then I do that in the broad field of the reports certainly synonymous. It makes sense but would usually not be, because a tripod serves beside Dolly, Crane, slider or whatever it is however, only one of many tools, each with its own function. Conclusion: There is, of course, but it depends very much on the subject of the report and the testimony sought on whether there is a reason for it. In practice this is seldom the case.

Depends, of course, synonymous of the camera from - with a (moving) camera shoulder It's one thing (could complement each other well with a floating tripod) - another with a camera that does not pass on the shoulder, then you will work with Tripod. In this case, you just stop moving and tranquil settings that you have to assemble. Depends on the subject on whether moves quietly and fits together.

Now sometimes I really mean, what a documentary or interview should prophecy of it.
Toys should always be used if you use this exact complement the visual language must / should / would - recording live from it but then just synonymous only.
Sample may have been
You want to shoot a moving documentary of a "postman" and only 90% want to have moving pictures - then and only then could what will bring.
But basically, if the postman puts NEN NEN letter slot in my opinion, then may be shot to stop synonymous NEN Tripod.

Should be borne in mind. Steadycam are wholly nice toy but unfortunately it is found that many are of the opinion it was an all purpose remedy which is not so!

I think there are two groups that respond to Steadycam or speak of them. Some are theorists with realistic expectations who want others already practicing amateurs who sell off these units soon after the first use again.
There is a third group is still synonymous: the total professionals for years to get trained, of which there are few, however, the "book" you can.
