Hello,
since a few days, suddenly a new problem with my Sonydcr-TRV 120e on: If I have a recorded Hi8 cassette insert and then press play, the camera tries repeatedly between Hi8 and Digital8 and vice versa (2 icons on the display of the Camera with arrows in between on a blue background).
The Picture shows the display of the Camera postpositive-)

Remote are always difficult. Obviously, however, recognizes the signal from the tape is no longer correct. In the best case, the only dirty minds - that is with a cleaning cartridge set. If the heads are down (how many hours of operation?), It's expensive.
Not quite synonymous to exclude an error in electronics. But seems unlikely - if it were, it would be but synonymous fatal.

Now the good news:
I look at the tape out, then look at the open-feeder Camera gepustet and brought back (the same tape).
And lo and behold everything works again! Super!
So the first contribution of Quadruplex me with the idea of "cleaning" function! =)
