If the error occurs always at a certain file on? Is it a supported file? Is the file in another program to read or generally damaged?

MPG files are not corrupted.

MPG can be anything in any form of MPEG-compressed, such as MPEG1, MPEG2, MP3, MPEG4, ...
AE does not take all these (partially pure distribution) format. Possibly. is a prior conversion necessary.

Perhaps something special s.der file or the format. Can you make it into something cuttable convert? Very good tolerated in AE and loss would be as an AVI with HuffYUV codec. When it comes to MPEG2 file suits would possibly synonymous DV codec in question.
