"After Effects error: The file 'name. Avi' can not be imported: files in the format '. Avi' are not supported."
Since when because that please? Codec of the AVI is no preference, that happens at all. Anyone ever had? I am currently under time pressure, that's my problem!
Reinstallation of codecs synonymous and AE has nothing.

So a similar problem I had ever synonymous with AE. I just had to reinstall the problem solved.

possibly in another new format to save it. I was so synonymous because zeidruck made.

I am the whole time s.grübeln in what I've done time. the only codecs I've installed once were of the k-lite.
can it be a nero 8 Installation something may have to follow?

Nero rödelt pretty much any media format shortcut on his own dung-tools to make and unfortunately, makes it to the DLL level. That can only be avoided if the dirt was the first thing installed and then of all the other (which again links the back of Nero).

Times the experimental AE Prefs under "C: \ Documents and Settings \ [user name] \ Application Data \ Adobe \ After Effects \ Prefs" to delete (or simply rename the folder), then AE restart and try. AE shall submit the files again. For me it has in similar cases have helped.
