If you had checked before the purchase if your wide angle at all from the filter diameter ago fits the camera, you probably would have noticed that it has no thread.

A Wide is adapted Anglezu now synonymous but not directly the killer solution if you value a good quality.
That is annoying or even outrageous, I find synonymous, whether that's right "stupid" of Canon, I doubt it - more likely the buyer who is angry after (SCNR)

Even if a filter thread would be present, would the typical buyers of entry-camcorders access normally prefer to approve converters and filters, because his original accessories of Canon & Co. is too expensive - it would be for ever the idea of "over there some truth to "screws. The difference in quality "neglected" he anyway.
And thus it is probably simply unprofitable for the Manufacturer, accessories for these buyers to plan and produce.

It has less to do something with Canon. Look at the bestseller Panasonic SD 66 at!
Sonyist still one of the few companies with many filter threading models.
Canon is very unimaginative purely slipped into 2010. While the competition has better built-in Wide Anglegeleistet, can be found at Canon are often from 39.5 to 45 mm wide-angle - relative mau. Then the savings of the filter threads at the entry level and mid-range models .....
But it will change the product launch February 2011 something.
And still use very, very few customers at a 150-500 ¬ camcorder a converter or even a filter.
