Infoseite // Canon EOS 5D Mark II - The Final Solution Focus

Frage von brainy:

Now I have got my Mark II with video function and am highly delighted. I produce, even for TV stations and maintain correctly, these clips for broadcast and make full use of the image perceived by the viewer the whole IMX / Digibeta area in the shade and HD may be synonymous with its small sensors and resulting video look hot anziehehn . And who ever with the setup HD/Kinooptik- rotated knows the compactness of the base unit to appreciate. This is particularly the fictional world to revolutionize manufacturing.

Now go but the follow-up questions go:
What is the best solution to the Focus DSLR video?

Lens focus on divorce, in many situations.
- Well, at least more favorable follow-focus (eg redrockmicro) 900 U.S. $
- Or professional Remote Focus Motor with 4,000 U.S. $ upwards (especially in Steadicam / Flycam / Glidecam untentbehrlich)

The trick would be if the management of the USM Lenses integrated engine via USB with a remote control pad could be controlled (wired or wireless). Would such a thing possible? USM would be the engine of the speed to compete with external Focus engines?

Definitely no. About the USB-instruction can only adjust the things that one touch of a button directly s.der Camera settings can be synonymous. Is the AF s.Lens off, so the engine is mechanically decoupled from the focus ring.

But with the Canon EOS utility of (or synonymous with DSLR Remote Pro) is the focus control. Technically it seems so, it would need only a much more comfortable control software & hardware, firmware and should be hacked so far as they control synonymous while recording is possible.

Now Windows boot times fast ... So: The focus is unfortunately only in Live View mode adjust. In the video mode does not work that way. That's still there.

The video mode is an "extension" of the Live View mode. Mir is already clear that there is currently not possible. So, I've written that on this point the firmware should be chopped. But technically it should be, in my view, be possible to ...

I see as synonymous, which is the Canon Utilities show! If someone still a clever swivel wheels to build, would be the perfect Remote-/Follow-Fokus created!

That would be everything to tinker, but if today while not recording via USB, then the chances for an official update or a Firmwarehack very bad.

That would be at least a solution that works now synonymous, synonymous if it is not quite cheap.

For the RED, there is now an EOS mount, in which all Canon Lenses can be remotely controlled (focus and aperture).

So technically this is apparently not a problem - the question when Canon finally mitzieht manufacturer or a third as something for the MK II, EOS offers.
