Infoseite // Canon HF SDR S10/11/100 - 50i vs. 25p

Frage von Green_Hornet:

Hi All,

I recently proud owner of an S10.

Now I try to figure out the correct settings. And since I would be interested in your experiences.

Sticking point is with me again the question 50i or 25p.
Since I actually work for 80% of the Internet, there are indeed at 25p. Postprocessing I do with Final Cut Studio.

I once made a camera pan. Once and once with 25p with 50i. And frankly I see no difference in the movement. I've looked at with both s.PC and activated at 50i only de-interlace.

What is your opinion?

And does it ever set out the shutter speed to a multiple of the frame rate? Eg 1 / 50 at 25p

The cinema mode, I'm really being disabled as I prefer to subsequently make such interventions finale s.PC.

Regards, Jan

If you are the 50i "deinterlace" anschaust, then you'll get basically exactly what turns the camera with 25p. That is why you see no difference.

Yes?

So I am of the opinion that there must have been a few more differences. For 50i movement one has always an offset between fields. And then yes blurred when de-interlace.

In addition, it has no lines at 25p Education / stair formation.
And 25p are synonymous but more sensitive to light, right?

But subjectively, I've seen, in fact, no difference.

What do you use?

Your observation that one hardly sees a difference, does anyone who actually carries out such a test under the same conditions, and indeed synonymous, when he, like us, is biased in relation to the expected result.

The uncertainty of the de-interlacing obviously corresponds exactly to the relatively large motion blur at 25p.

Differences seen in extreme cases: very gentle movements with fine structures (hair, cobwebs in the back light, flour when baking, etc.) that can disappear when interlaced images. Contrasting lines flicker or form podium. Everything not overly tragic, but all concerns "i". Who is filming with a lot of moving camera (hand, steadies, Dolly), then loses much s.Resolutionmit "i". "I" annoying when compositing, while Keyen and masking, it can not be scaled completely clean, there is virtually no "i" output devices more.
