I have the HF100 since yesterday and now the battery is fully charged. I have now filmed yesterday and today and played until the battery was completely empty.
Then I loaded about 1 hour. When you turn now appears every time: "Change the Battery", the remaining battery time is 0% the battery info shows: Remaining recording time: 0 minutes. "
Nevertheless, I can record, I have 45 minutes to (only with battery, without power supply) without the battery is empty, the battery discharge time remaining unchanged shows 0%.
I have only the original power supply and the original battery.
I have already updated the firmware (to 1.0.2.0).
Is there a trick or do I send the camera back?

It may be that something in the communication between the Cam and Akkuladechip wrong. I would clear the Battery just more time on-and discharged, the two eventually find each other again. I would clear the Battery possibly synonymous external load times, so on a different charger, if available. If it did I would not go and complain about the prices. It is only the battery and not the Camera. Get a second but eh Battery (which you need anyway for more film time to get) and see whether it makes synonymous. Yes Do not be original Canon battery.
