So far could not take pictures of the Canon focus or optical zoom while recording. If that is the case here synonymous, Full-HD synonymous not much help.

Hi,
There are a few of Canon devices, while the optical zoom allow a video recording. Then you could bridge the cameras SX 1.10 & 20, S 5 IS and the SX cameras Travellerzoom call 200 & 210th For Ixus usually only a switchable digital zoom during videos.
