Hello. Have been given a well-preserved Canon MV300. As far as I can see, all the functions work - unfortunately, up to the DV OUT. The current Programs (Movie Maker, Power Director, Videon) on the PC does not recognize the camera via FireWire. Now I wanted to know. At the dealer I asked who put MV300 times s.einen DVD recorder with FireWire connection to what he was doing synonymous. The player was actually in contact and remained in the message, "Setup Information hang". This could be reproduced. A stretch of the plug has been synonymous recognized: the player reported logically "disconnected"
My amateur guess is that the hardware of the FireWire interface of the camera is doing, but something stuck with software.
Now the question. Anyone know the problem? Maybe s.dieser Cam has been trying times for DV-IN-activated something ... Could that be wrong?

Here is lately more often read about such problems and that the interface of Canon DV camcorders to be very sensitive.
Good, that does not help directly, but perhaps do you look at times targeted for similar contributions in the Canon section? Maybe you somehow brings the next.
I would connect the camcorder once synonymous s.andere computer (synonymous with changing Firewire cables) and see what happens then. So you can narrow down the possible cause.
