Canon MV900 or suitable alternative

Frage von MD2000:
Juli 2006

Hello,
I'm just looking for an affordable camcorder for viewöchigen holiday. Borrow makes no sense, because the fees are too high. Buy an expensive camcorder synonymous makes no sense, because otherwise I can access a SonyDigital8 about 4 years old camcorder, and I for a few years ago wanting to buy an HD camcorder, because I then more movies.

Therefore, I am met with the Canon MV900, which is very cheap (250 euros).
I do not need bells and whistles s.Camcorders, but only good shots + Sound, which I can edit s.PC.

Is there in the price range up to 350 EUR a better alternative?
Is the image stabilization when shooting 16:9 then completely shut down?

Gruss,

MD

Antwort von Jeantheprayer:

Have I got the MV900 synonymous!
And today they bring back again!

Not a bad part, but the Image Stabilization is really turned off at 16:9.

In low light makes catastrophic images. The night mode simply switches too soon.

Alternative I can not tell you, unfortunately, yes, looking for something yourself!

Antwort von proofy:

Hi

probiers times but with the Panasonic NV GS 27 ° / / / that is zwaar in low light is not very well but otherwise really great images of her get it for 270 euro °!

I myself have tested the MV 900 is not yet in low light but I thought I had read in digital video which is, in this price class with the best LOW LIGHT

Yes, there are the: Lend you the 4 years old D8 camcorder! Which should make much better images than any crap for 350 ¬. Especially when the light diminishes ... ;-)

Antwort von mkrawietz:

the D8 camcorder does my Dad, unfortunately, at the same time. So I will buy myself an expensive indeed.

Antwort von Markus:

So that emerged from the previous Information not. It's always a pleasure to learn important details ... ;-)

So, are two possibilities for choice: Either you are you buy a cheap camcorder for a single use, or you're leaving the video films, this time to stay. Or maybe you would still be someone else's (to borrow good?) Camcorder?

What will you do now?

Antwort von Jan:

You can opt to join the MV 9xx series if the stabilizer is switched on or, better when made gibts a little wide.

But the sound / has been criticized already frequent, a little noise / and intrinsic noise in quiet passages are a little worrying, but that was already synonymous with the MV or 7xx xx series so, is not it because we've already Proofy mal ne Cam withdrawn? - I, at least.

GS 27 or HC 23 is the better choice, or lie down immediately once the GS 180 with 450 and ne have really good consumer market in the Budget.

If there is already a camcorder, it would make sense to buy a second one, which one to use with the same accessories (USDI Batteries) can.

But were the Batteries of the 4-year-D8 camcorder (which model?) Compatible with those of the HC23?

Antwort von mkrawietz:

GS 27 or HC 23 but both have no 16:9 mode, right?

Notes were later on a 16:9 72 inch television with a quality difference when I adjust the video s.PC to 16:9 (zoom in) in Comparison to the 16:9 Modu MV900?

If not, the HC 23 sounds good.

Yes, because when scaled You're killing off the line sequence of fields and this means that all the image content must be recalculated. Quite apart from the expenditure of time.

I do not know how the picture looks like the MV900 in Comparison to a subsequent change in the aspect ratio of HC23. It depends not least, synonymous of the tools available to you from.

Antwort von Jan:

Yes, only the MV 900 has the reel (Taking advantage of sensor) at 16 / 9, SonyHC 23 / Panasonic GS 27 / JVC D 325 have only Cheap letterbox method, it has so many problems synonymous with the sound ...

Which brings us back to the usual result of these camcorders landed class: the compromises of Billiggeräte outweigh the achievable quality of the recordings.

"MD2000", what will you do now?
